Creating Living Worlds that Heal, Reuse, and Respect the Earth

Why we create

etceterra exists to create small living worlds that support healing — for people and for the planet.

Rooted in reuse, patience, and respect for natural systems, our work transforms overlooked materials into living ecosystems. Each piece is designed to restore balance, encourage stillness, and remind us that growth doesn’t need force.

By caring for the Earth — Terra — through mindful creation and recycling, we believe healing becomes shared. For ourselves. For our spaces. For the world we live in.

How it evolved

etceterra began during a period of profound personal change.

While navigating recovery, loss, and uncertainty, I was searching for ways to ground myself and reconnect with a sense of calm and purpose. That search led me to terrariums — small, self-contained ecosystems built on balance, patience, and care.

What started as simple experiments for myself soon revealed something deeper. Working with soil, plants, and natural systems became a powerful form of healing. These little worlds helped quiet my mind, restore routine, and remind me that growth doesn’t need force — it needs time, consistency, and care.

As the process supported my own recovery, I felt inspired to share this experience with others. Friends and family showed interest, conversations grew, and over time this personal practice evolved into etceterra — a small, intentional business rooted in creativity and wellbeing.

Today, each terrarium, paludarium, and aquascape I create carries that same intention: to share the grounding, restorative power of nature and offer living pieces that bring calm, balance, and meaning into everyday spaces.

More than plants — living forms

They bring calm

They connect us to nature

Meaningful but not loud

Watching a tiny ecosystem settle has a grounding effect. Terrariums naturally reduce visual noise and invite stillness, making them ideal for busy minds.

A terrarium feels thoughtful without being excessive. It says “I chose this with intention” rather than “I grabbed this last minut

In a glass world, people rediscover soil, moisture, balance, and growth — even in apartments or offices.

No two terrariums are the same. Giving one is like gifting a one-of-a-kind moment, not a mass-produced item.

They Keep Growing

They Keep Growing

Unlike flowers that fade, a terrarium evolves over time. It changes, adapts, and thrives — a quiet reminder that care and patience create longevity. They keep growing.
