Terrariums are designed to be low maintenance, living systems. With the right placement and gentle care, they will thrive and evolve naturally over time.

🌞 Light

Place your terrarium in bright, indirect light.

Avoid direct sunlight, as it can overheat the glass and damage plants.

💧 Water

Less is more.

Only water when the soil appears dry or when condensation is no longer visible.

Closed terrariums usually need very little water

Use a light mist or a few teaspoons at a time

If the glass looks foggy, it does not need watering.

🌡 Temperature

Terrariums prefer stable indoor temperatures, ideally between 18–25°C.

Avoid placing near:

Heaters or radiators

Air conditioners

Cold drafts or windows with strong sun exposure

🌱 Growth & Maintenance

Trim plants gently if they begin to touch the glass

Remove any yellowing or decaying leaves

Allow the ecosystem to regulate itself

Small changes are natural and part of the process.

🌬 Airing (for closed terrariums)

If heavy condensation persists, open the lid for 1–2 hours and then reseal.

This helps rebalance moisture levels.
